Monroe County has moved its Health and Wellness Center to a new, improved location. This change greatly enhances access to primary care for local government employees, all while maintaining the same reliable care team.
The updated center, which opened on October 1, 2025, features more exam rooms, additional conference space, and nurses’ stations. So far, 74% of Monroe County employees have already utilized the services offered at the center. Seth Elgar, Assistant Director of Human Resources, commented, “The new Health and Wellness Center is an amazing benefit for our employees. We’re proud of this new space and the convenient care it makes possible for our team.”
Monroe County Government has teamed up with Proactive MD since 2024 to ensure its employees have a dedicated healthcare home. The launch of the new center was celebrated with an open house, attracting various wellness organizations from across Indiana.
