Exciting News: Nashville High School Students Unveil Their Own Food Truck Adventure!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – High school students in Nashville are getting a unique chance to learn about running a business.

At McGavock High, students will run Raider Bites, a new food truck created just for them.

Launched on Wednesday, this food truck comes from a partnership with Intuit. It features a top-notch kitchen that will help Career and Technical Education students gain valuable skills in operating a business.

“The Intuit food truck program is not just a vehicle; it’s a mobile classroom,” said Dave Zasada, Vice President at Intuit. “By mixing financial literacy with hands-on experiences, we are setting students up for success in their future careers.”

Culinary students will take charge of Raider Bites under the guidance of Chef Jeannine Nava.

McGavock’s Executive Principal Bruce Jackson shared his excitement, saying, “This is a fantastic opportunity for our Culinary Arts students and the entire school community. Gaining real-world experience is crucial for our students’ growth and future success.”
