Exciting News: One UI 8.5 Set to Introduce Beloved Pixel Feature—APK Teardown Insights!

Samsung is gearing up to launch an exciting new feature with its upcoming One UI 8.5 update. This update will introduce an automatic call screening tool for Galaxy phones, drawing inspiration from Google’s popular feature on Pixel devices.

Currently, Galaxy users can use Bixby Text Call to interact with incoming calls, like asking who’s calling. However, this works only when the user presses a button during the call. In contrast, Pixel’s automatic call screening seamlessly engages with suspected spam and unknown numbers without any input from users.

The upcoming feature for Galaxy devices will automatically manage suspicious calls. It will display a text transcript of the conversation without the user needing to respond. You will still have the option to use Bixby Text Call if preferred.

This update could significantly change how users handle unwanted calls. In a recent survey, around 64% of people expressed concerns about spam calls. Automatic screening may ease these worries, allowing users to avoid unnecessary interruptions.

Experts emphasize the importance of such features as spam calls continue to rise. According to the Federal Communications Commission, nearly half of all calls made to US phones are likely spam.

Samsung’s new feature will come with added capabilities, like automatically answering calls while “Do Not Disturb” is enabled. There’s even a language selection option for users, though details on which markets will receive this feature remain unclear.

With One UI 8.5, Samsung seems set to enhance user experience and tackle spam calls head-on, making life a bit easier for many smartphone users.
