Pittsburgh is about to get its very first women’s sports bar, opening next month in East Liberty. The bar, named Title 9, will dedicate its screens to showing women’s sports exclusively.
Sheree Goldstein, the talent behind Title 9, plans to open the bar in February next to her existing business, Square Cafe, on Centre Avenue. She expressed her excitement for the project, stating, “I am passionate about women’s sports and it’s been amazing to see these incredible athletes finally getting the viewership they deserve.”
Goldstein wants Title 9 to be a hub for building community among fans and players in Pittsburgh. The goal is not just to watch games but to create a space for conversations and connections within the local sports scene.
Title 9 will feature a varied menu that includes cocktails, mocktails, and drinks from local breweries. There will be plenty of snack options, including vegan and vegetarian choices, with some popular items from Square Cafe making a return.
Besides tasty food, the bar will boast eight TVs, garage windows for an open-air feel, and even a rooftop bar. To build excitement, Title 9 will host a series of pop-up events leading up to its grand opening, which is scheduled for mid-February.
