Chapman Simmons, the entrepreneur behind this initiative, already operates successful locations in Greenville and Andalusia. He is excited about this new chapter in Luverne, calling it a long-held dream. “We’re hoping Luverne will be a good spot for us,” he shared, mentioning plans to hire a full crew soon.

The food truck will be parked outside Food Depot, where locals can enjoy a menu filled with burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, chicken sandwiches, and more. Simmons is committed to using fresh ingredients daily, ensuring great taste for every meal. He started his food career early, opening a shaved ice stand in high school, followed by an ice cream shop that gained popularity.

Jared Hawsey, co-owner of Smash Mouth, echoed Simmons’ enthusiasm, saying, “We think Luverne will be a great spot for us. We can really get involved in the community.” The truck isn’t just a business; it’s a way to participate in local events with schools and churches. Hawsey aims to focus on locals rather than just travelers passing through.
