Star Trek Day 2025 surprises fans with an exciting new web series for preschoolers called Star Trek: Scouts.
Star Trek: Scouts is an animated series available on YouTube. It features three 8-year-old friends—JR, Sprocket, and Roo—training to become future Starfleet explorers. Together, they embark on fun, imaginative missions that inspire them to discover new things and grow as friends.
The show consists of twenty episodes, each lasting 3-4 minutes, and can be found on Nickelodeon’s Blaze and the Monster Machines YouTube channel. Developed by Nickelodeon Digital Studio in collaboration with CBS Studios, this series is a fresh addition to the Star Trek family.
The first episode, titled “Asteroid Blasters #1,” is already available for viewers. In this episode, a giant soap bar asteroid is heading towards the Star Trek Scouts. With only four minutes to save the day, JR, Roo, and Sprocket must think quickly and work together, using their smarts to figure out how to stop it. Can they pick the right item to launch and avoid a soapy disaster? Along the way, they invite viewers into a bubble bath party with their pet sidekicks.
The trio’s adventures promise to be engaging and educational, appealing to both kids and parents. The series aims to encourage teamwork and problem-solving from an early age, which experts say is crucial for children’s development. In recent studies, educators note that kids who engage in collaborative play show improved social skills and creativity.
As the Star Trek universe continues to grow, this show stands out as a perfect way for young fans to connect with the franchise. The second episode will premiere soon, and more episodes are set to be released throughout the year.
