Good news for train travelers! The Indian Railways is about to restart the New Delhi-to-Katra Vande Bharat Express train. This service is important for those heading to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, a popular pilgrimage destination.

Currently, there are two Vande Bharat trains running between Delhi and Katra. They are:

• Train number 22439/22440 New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra
• Train number 22477/22478 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi

The New Delhi to Katra service, train number 22439/22440, will resume on March 7, 2025. This semi-high-speed train operates daily except Wednesdays. It departs from New Delhi at 6:00 AM and arrives in Katra at 2:15 PM. On the way back, it leaves Katra at 2:55 PM and reaches New Delhi at 11:00 PM.

Along its route, the train makes stops at four stations:

• Ambala Cantonment
• Ludhiana Junction
• Pathankot Cantonment
• Jammu Tawi

The train offers two types of seating: the AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car. The fare for the AC Chair Car is Rs 1665, while the Executive Chair Car ticket costs Rs 3055.
