Amayah Garcia Shines as McDonald’s All-American Nominee
Amayah Garcia, a talented basketball player from Fort Worth, Texas, has been named a nominee for the McDonald’s All-American Game. Currently in her senior year at Faith Family Academy of Oak Cliff, this 5-foot-11 guard has made waves in the basketball world.
This year, Garcia showcased her skills at various events across the country. She was named Most Valuable Player at the She Got Game Classic held in Hawaii. Playing for Southwest Select on the Adidas 3SSB circuit, she recently scored her 1,000th career point and has made over 125 three-pointers.
Her impressive achievements have not gone unnoticed. Ranked among the top 50 recruits by all major recruiting services—Prospects Nation (No. 37), On3 (No. 40), 247Sports (No. 43), and ESPN (No. 46)—Garcia is a four-star recruit. This past summer, she earned a spot as an Adidas All-American and was recognized on the Texas All-State Tournament Team.
Garcia will join the Washington women’s basketball team starting in the 2026-27 season. Under head coach Tina Langley, she will be the 11th McDonald’s All-American nominee to sign with the program.
The final players selected for the McDonald’s All-American Game will be announced soon, with the event set for April 1, 2026, in Brooklyn, New York.
