“It’s a ‘Pop-Up’ because it appears for a few weeks each year,” explains Laura Katz, one of the organizers. “We call it a ‘University,’ but it’s very relaxed. It’s all about bringing our community together through fun activities led by local experts.”

This year’s lineup includes twelve classes that cover both creative and practical skills. You’ll learn how to make pasta with The Hub at Weston’s executive chef, bake the perfect pie crust with a local pie expert, and enjoy a wine tasting with a local restaurateur who will guide you on choosing wines from the grocery store. Curious about physics? You’ll get to explore why Wile E. Coyote can never catch the Road Runner! Plus, local fire and rescue teams will offer essential health and safety tips.

Classes are taught by knowledgeable locals ranging from scientists to artists, ensuring a variety of insights and skills.

Most classes will be held in person at different spots around Weston, with a few available via Zoom. Be sure to sign up in advance, as some classes have limited spots.
