As the playoffs continue, last Sunday was eventful. The Washington Commanders pulled off a surprising victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, becoming the only wild-card team to win on the road that weekend. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Rams, who played in Arizona, secured a comfortable win over the Minnesota Vikings. This has led to the Rams, Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, and Philadelphia Eagles advancing to the divisional round, while the seasons for the Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, and Vikings have come to an end.

Here’s what’s coming up in the divisional round:

Saturday, Jan. 18

  • Kansas City Chiefs vs. Houston Texans: 4:30 p.m. ET
  • Detroit Lions vs. Washington Commanders: 8 p.m. ET

Sunday, Jan. 19

  • Rams vs. Philadelphia Eagles: 3 p.m. ET
  • Buffalo Bills vs. Baltimore Ravens: 6 p.m. ET

In coaching news, Brian Flores, the defensive coordinator for the Vikings, has several interviews lined up, including meetings with the Jets and Jaguars. The Jets are also set to interview Bobby Slowik, the offensive coordinator for the Texans, virtually due to the Texans’ upcoming game. Additionally, the Jaguars interviewed former Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen for their head coaching position.

Dallas is busy as well. Their coaching search includes former Jets coach Robert Saleh and Seattle’s Leslie Frazier. Meanwhile, Mike McCarthy is interviewing with the Bears just two days after leaving the Cowboys. The Bears seem to be rolling out the red carpet for him. Additionally, there’s buzz around Jason Witten potentially being involved in the Cowboys’ coaching staff.

In other news, the Colts are set to host the NFL’s first regular-season game in Berlin next season. This comes as the NFL expands its international presence, with plans for games in both London and Madrid in the next couple of years.

As the NFL landscape shifts, fans are eager to see who will land the coveted head coaching roles and how the playoffs will unfold.
