The University of New Haven has taken a significant step by signing an agreement with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Education, Ministry of Investment, and the Royal Commission for Riyadh City to establish a new campus in Riyadh, set to open in Fall 2026. This exciting development aims to enroll up to 13,000 undergraduate and graduate students, supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which focuses on diversifying the nation’s economy and enriching its educational framework.

This partnership was announced during the Human Capability Initiative event in Riyadh, which was led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The University of New Haven becomes the first foreign institution to apply for a license to open a higher education branch in Saudi Arabia.

The planned campus will offer several colleges, including a College of Business and Digital Innovation and a College of Arts and Applied Sciences. Students will benefit not only from a wide variety of academic programs but also from connections to international resources and opportunities for internships and career advancement.

President Jens Frederiksen emphasized the importance of this initiative in preparing a skilled global workforce.
