Exciting Road Show: UCA Bears Face Off Against UWG and UNA – Get Ready for Game Day!

The University of Central Arkansas Bears are hitting the road for two critical ASUN games this week. On Thursday, they’ll face the West Georgia Wolves and then take on the North Alabama Lions on Saturday.

Recently, the Bears have been on fire, winning two ASUN games last week. Their record now sits at 4-2, the best start they’ve had since joining the ASUN in the 2021-2022 season. One standout moment was their comeback against Jacksonville, where they clawed back from a 15-point deficit to win 62-60. Luke Moore scored a career-high 19 points, making all of his three-point attempts. In their next game, Camren Hunter matched his season-best with 26 points as they trounced UNF 98-69. This victory marked their largest margin in a conference game since 2016.

At home, the Bears have been dominant, winning 9 out of 10 games with an average winning margin of 26.8 points. However, they are still searching for their first road win of the ASUN season, having lost both of their away games, both going to overtime. Their current offensive stats reflect a scoring average of 81.8 points per game with impressive shooting from the field (45%), three-point range (34.6%), and free throws (77%).

The Wolves, their first opponents, are currently on a three-game losing streak, losing each game by an average of 20 points. But they are undefeated at home in ASUN play, with key players like Shelton Williams-Dryden scoring 25.7 points per game. As a team, they’re averaging 76.8 points per game this season.

On Saturday, the Bears face the North Alabama Lions, who are struggling with just one ASUN win so far. They’ve lost their last two games at home. Canin Jefferson leads this squad, averaging 16.5 points per game. The Lions are scoring about 73.8 points per game and will be looking to turn their season around.

Tip-off for both games is set for 6 p.m. CT, and fans can tune in live on ESPN+, The Bear 91.3, and Jack 92.7 or follow online for live stats. This week could be pivotal for the Bears as they work to improve their road performance.
