To kick off the new ranked season in League of Legends, we’re hosting a special two-week Twitch Drops event to celebrate all things Demacia! This is a fun way to recognize the amazing players and creators in the League Partner Program (LPP). You could earn exclusive in-game emotes just by watching your favorite streamers.
When Can You Get Emotes?
From January 9 at 00:00 UTC to January 25 at 00:00 UTC, you can earn two unique emotes by tuning into participating LPP creators on Twitch.
Emote Rewards and How to Get Them
“Lightshield Stonks” Emote
- Unlock it by: Watching any eligible LPP streamer for one hour during the campaign.
- Tip: Only live watching counts, not VODs!
“GarenHype” Emote
- Unlock it by: Subscribing or gifting a subscription to any eligible LPP streamer during the event.
- Note: This only applies to first-time subscriptions or gifts.
Finding Eligible Channels
You can only earn these emotes by watching specific LPP channels. Here’s how to find them:
- Log into Twitch.
- Go to the Twitch Drops Campaigns page.
- Look for active channels listed in the campaign section.
- Choose a channel with Drops enabled (you’ll see a notification in the chat).
- Complete the requirements for the Drop.
Claiming Your Emotes
Make sure your Riot account is linked to your Twitch account to receive your emotes. You can check your progress on the Drops Inventory page. If you reach 100% by the end of the event, you’ll get a notification to claim your emote. You’ll have up to a week after the event to claim it if you miss the initial window.
Troubleshooting Tips
If you encounter problems, try these tips:
- Disable any ad-blocking browser extensions, as they might affect Drop progress.
- Remember, you can only participate in one Drops campaign at a time.
- If you’ve completed a requirement but can’t claim the Drop, double-check the game account linked to your Twitch account.
