However, the Mavericks have faced challenges on the court, scoring only 49.6 points per game and allowing a league-high 75.4 points.
South Dakota’s Coyotes, sitting at 15-6 and third in the league with a 5-2 record, showcase strong defensive skills, allowing opponents to shoot just 33%. Key contributions from their players—like Angelina Robles, who averages 14.2 points, and Molly Joyce with 11.7 points—help keep the Coyotes competitive.
As of this year, women’s basketball is trending with increasing fan engagement, evident through notable social media discussions and shares, highlighting players’ achievements and thrilling game highlights. With more attention on the sport, many young players are inspired to pursue basketball.
In the Summit League, SDSU leads the conference in scoring with an impressive 81.1 points per game, while also demonstrating solid defensive skills by allowing only 55.9 points. This puts them as a top contender in the league, especially against teams like Omaha.
