The Tulane women’s tennis team is set to compete in the USTA SoCal Tennis Championships this weekend at the Hogan Tennis Center in San Diego. This four-day event will feature both singles and doubles matches.
The Green Wave will kick things off with doubles action. Summer Chandler and Micah Pierce are competing against Jayna Clemens and Teja Tirunelveli of Cal State Fullerton. Campbell Ricci and Leigh Van Zyl, along with Natalia Fantini and Natalia Perez, have earned byes into the Round of 16.
In singles, Pierce will face Seha Yu from Fullerton in the Round of 64. Perez is matched up against Maria Shmakova from San Diego, Van Zyl will play Daniela Borruel from USC, and Fantini will take on Chloe Schwartz of Fullerton. Ricci and Chandler also received byes into the next round.
