This time around, Samsung seems to be embracing the trend of making foldables slimmer. Chinese brands have led the way, with Oppo’s Find N5 currently recognized as the slimmest book-style foldable on the market.

While the Fold7 may not surpass Oppo’s device, it will come close. When unfolded, it should measure around 4.5 mm thick and about 9.5 mm when folded. These measurements include the camera bump, but without it, the thickness might be closer to 9 mm. Specific details on that are still a bit fuzzy.

For perspective, Oppo’s Find N5 measures 4.2 mm thick when unfolded and 8.9 mm when folded. In everyday use, the difference in thickness between these two devices will likely feel minimal. However, the aspect ratio will likely affect the overall feel, though that remains unclear at this point.

When fully opened, the Fold7 is reportedly about 158.4 x 143.1 mm. This makes it slightly taller and over 1 cm wider than its predecessor, suggesting a wider cover screen might be on the way.

On the downside, the battery capacity remains at 4,400 mAh, which trails behind competitors offering larger batteries. The Fold7 is set to feature an 8.2-inch inner screen and a 6.5-inch cover screen, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

Camera-wise, the Fold7 upgrades to a 200 MP main sensor, inherited from the Galaxy Z Fold SE. It will also include a 12 MP ultrawide and a 10 MP telephoto camera, while the selfie cameras remain the same as before—a 4 MP under-display camera and a 10 MP cover camera.
