Tonight on WWE Raw, there was an exciting title change during the main event. This episode, which aired on February 24, saw some thrilling matches.
Earlier in the show, Lyra Valkyria defended her Women’s Intercontinental Championship successfully against Dakota Kai. However, the main event was even bigger.
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez became the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. This victory makes them the first team to hold the titles three times!
They defeated the previous champions, Bianca Belair and Naomi, thanks in part to some interference from Dominik Mysterio. The buildup to the match included footage of Morgan and Rodriguez in an area where Jade Cargill was attacked a few months ago. This attack led to Naomi stepping in as Belair’s partner after Cargill could not compete.
In a dramatic finish, Morgan pinned Naomi after Rodriguez delivered an illegal blow while Dominik distracted the referee. This marked the end of Belair’s impressive reign, which lasted 178 days—104 of those days with Cargill and 74 with Naomi as her partner.
This title change is significant for both Morgan and Rodriguez. It’s Rodriguez’s fourth reign and Morgan’s third, with all three of Morgan’s reigns coming alongside Rodriguez. Rodriguez also had a separate title run with Aliyah.
