A 27-year-old forward has been sidelined for the last three games due to an upper-body injury. This season with the Boston Bruins, he has played in 57 games, scoring 15 points, which includes eight goals and seven assists. Another player, Jones, did not score any points in seven games with Boston this season. However, he found more success in the AHL, where he racked up 21 points from 38 games with the Providence team. Also a first-round draft pick in 2016, he has a total of 62 points from 265 regular-season games played between the Anaheim Ducks and Boston.
Hauser, a 21-year-old, was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in 2022. This season, he has played in the Czech leagues, with limited success: no points in nine games for HC Plzen, one goal and three assists in 16 games for HC Vitkovice, and five goals with four assists in 16 games for HC Stadion Litomerice.
Wanner, another young player at 21, has two points from 22 games with the Bakersfield Condors in the AHL this season. He was picked by Edmonton in the 2021 NHL Draft.
Meanwhile, Lachance is having a strong season at Boston University, with 25 points, including 10 goals and 15 assists in just 32 games. Also drafted by Edmonton in 2021, he has a notable hockey lineage—his father is Scott Lachance, a former NHL player who now scouts for the New Jersey Devils.
As for the standings, the Edmonton Oilers currently sit second in the Pacific Division with a record of 35-21-4, trailing the Vegas Golden Knights by just two points. The Bruins, with a record of 28-26-8, are making a push for the playoffs but are two points behind the Detroit Red Wings for the Eastern Conference’s final wild card spot.
