It sounds like PS5 fans are in for a lengthy adventure with the upcoming game, Ghost of Yotei. Sucker Punch and Sony Interactive Entertainment recently shared insights on how long players might spend unraveling the story of Atsu.
In an interview with VGC, Jason Connell, the creative director of Ghost of Yotei, mentioned that players can expect a playtime similar to its predecessor, Ghost of Tsushima. He explained, “We designed the game with the same scale and scope in mind.” This suggests that whether you’re racing through the main story or taking your time to explore every detail, the experience will be quite fulfilling.
For a bit of context, Ghost of Tsushima typically takes around 25 hours to complete the main storyline. If you’re aiming for the Platinum trophy, expect to invest around 50 to 60 hours. Players can anticipate Ghost of Yotei to fall within these timeframes when it releases.
Interestingly, the excitement around Ghost of Yotei has sparked discussions and trends online. Fans on social media are already sharing their theories and hopes for the sequel, creating a buzz that mirrors the anticipation surrounding the original game.
Moreover, as part of the promotional campaign, Sucker Punch revealed limited-edition consoles and accessories themed around Ghost of Yotei. These include special console bundles and a matching DualSense controller—perfect for collectors and dedicated fans alike.
Ghost of Yotei is set to launch on October 2. While the exact gameplay experience will be clearer once it’s released, players can prepare for another epic journey reminiscent of Ghost of Tsushima.
