Google Chrome is stepping up its game with a new dedicated button for its Tab Search feature. This makes it easier for users to find both open and recently closed tabs using keywords.

With the latest update, version 136.0.7103.114, the Tab Search button is now prominently placed in the toolbar next to the address bar. This change reflects Google’s ongoing efforts to enhance user experience with new shortcuts and a cleaner interface.

When you click the new button, a search bar pops up. It shows all open tabs and lists recently closed tabs below. This way, you can easily search for keywords across both categories, making it much simpler to find what you need quickly.

You can also customize its position in the toolbar. Just right-click the shortcut and select “Toolbar settings” to adjust it to your liking.

This update aligns with similar changes in the Chrome app for Android. Now, mobile users can enjoy a search bar on the tab grid page for quick access to their tabs.
