The Jacksonville Jaguars have named a new General Manager: James Gladstone. The team shared the news on Friday afternoon.
Team owner Shad Khan expressed his excitement in a statement. “It’s my honor to introduce James Gladstone as the new General Manager of the Jacksonville Jaguars,” he said. Khan praised Gladstone’s skills, noting that he stood out during the interview process. “James is exceptional in vision, communication, and understanding of the league and our team,” Khan added. “It’s going to be fun watching him work with our football team.”
Gladstone has a solid background in the NFL, having worked with the Los Angeles Rams since 2016. Most recently, he served as the director of scouting strategy for the past three years.
Gladstone was the last candidate interviewed for the role. He takes over from Trent Baalke, who was let go in January. Baalke’s departure came shortly after Liam Coen decided not to pursue the head coach position, a role he later accepted with the Jaguars just days after Baalke’s exit.
Interestingly, Gladstone and Coen have worked together before at the Rams and now reunite in Jacksonville. They will join Tony Boselli, who is also leading the Jaguars into a new chapter. It looks like an exciting time for the team!
