Exciting Update: New In-N-Out Set to Open in Southern California’s Billion Mega Project—Bigger Than Central Park!

In-N-Out Burger is set to open a new location in Irvine, California, right in the heart of an ambitious $1 billion project called the Great Park. This development aims to transform a former Marine Corps air station into an expansive 1,300-acre urban park, making it one of the largest parks in the U.S.

This new In-N-Out will be part of “The Canopy,” a vibrant shopping and dining area covering 12 acres. It will feature restaurants, grocery stores, and retail shops, all designed to make it an attractive destination for visitors throughout the day.

The restaurant will have a classic mid-century design, complete with a spacious outdoor patio and a drive-thru that can handle up to 33 cars at once. According to city planning documents, the drive-thru will have two lanes that merge at the pickup window, which should help with the expected rush of hungry customers eager for their Double-Doubles.

Denny Warnick, In-N-Out’s chief operating officer, expressed excitement about this new venture. He noted the company has been a part of the Irvine community for nearly 35 years and looks forward to serving even more customers. However, the opening date for this new location is still months away.

The Great Park project is gaining momentum, with many phases still in development until 2028 or beyond. When completed, it will feature lakes, museums, and an amphitheater, serving as a hub for both recreation and community events. In-N-Out will join other notable tenants like T&T Supermarket and Philz Coffee.

As urban parks grow in popularity, the Great Park stands out. According to a recent survey by the National Recreation and Park Association, 77% of Americans believe that parks are essential to their communities. This data highlights how projects like the Great Park can enhance local quality of life.

In the age of social media, reactions to In-N-Out’s new restaurant are buzzing. Many fans are sharing their excitement online, creating a wave of anticipation for the opening.

While we wait for the new location to welcome customers, it’s clear that the Great Park project will dramatically reshape Irvine’s landscape and provide a unique blend of entertainment, food, and outdoor spaces for everyone.
