Exciting Update: New Vande Bharat Train Launching Soon! Discover the Route and Timings You’ll Love!

Indian Railways is on the move with its Vande Bharat trains, making travel easier and quicker for passengers. These semi-high-speed trains have changed the way people journey long distances.

One exciting update is the new route connecting Mumbai and Mangaluru via Goa. Currently, the train from Mumbai to Goa leaves at 5:25 AM and arrives at 1:10 PM. With the new plan, the journey will be streamlined to complete this connection in just 12 hours. The Mumbai-Goa train will reach Mangaluru by 6:00 PM, while the Mangaluru-Goa service, starting at 8:30 AM, will extend to Mumbai and arrive there by 9:00 PM.

However, there are concerns about overcrowding. Officials have noted a spike in passengers at Mumbai stations during evening hours due to the arrival of various long-distance trains. When the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat first launched, occupancy was high, with up to 90% of seats filled, but this has since dropped to around 70%.

A noteworthy statistic is the poor performance of the Mangaluru-Goa route, which sees less than 40% occupancy. This low number led to discussions about extending the service to Kozhikode, but political pushback in Karnataka halted those plans. Currently, this journey takes about four and a half hours.

Looking ahead, it’s important to note the ongoing infrastructure projects like the Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway, which is set to improve connectivity further. Although it was expected to finish by August 2025, it now seems the completion date will stretch to June 2026.

The changes and plans for the Vande Bharat trains reflect the evolving needs of Indian travelers. As train services adapt, passengers will likely enjoy smoother and more efficient journeys, making train travel an even more attractive option in the future.
