Railway News: Indian Railways is stepping up to meet rising travel demands. They’re increasing the number of coaches in the Patna-Howrah-Patna Vande Bharat Express from 16 to 20. This change is set to take effect on July 11. The additional coaches will help more people enjoy this high-speed service, especially during busy travel times like festivals.
According to Saraswati Chandra, the Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway, “This decision responds to the growing number of passengers. With more coaches, we can serve more people efficiently.” The Vande Bharat Express is already popular for its modern facilities and comfortable seating, and this expansion will make it even more accommodating during peak travel times, like the Shravani Mela.
Additionally, the Indian Railways is also rolling out special trains for the Shravani Mela. Four special trains will connect various locations: Ara-Jasidih, Katihar-Deoghar, Dibrugarh-Deoghar, and Ranchi-Bhagalpur. This will further ease the journey for those heading to the Mela, ensuring everyone can participate in this important annual event that attracts many devotees.
Travel trends often increase during festival seasons. A recent survey by a travel research firm found that over 60% of travelers plan their trips around local festivities, highlighting the importance of efficient transport options. These updates by Indian Railways are not just practical; they reflect the growing needs of the public and a commitment to improving travel experiences across the country.
