Vande Bharat Express: New Delhi to Patna
Good news for those traveling from New Delhi to Patna for Holi! Indian Railways is launching a new Vande Bharat Express. This train will make it easier for people from Bihar living in Delhi to return home for the festival.

Holi is a big celebration in North India, including Bihar. It draws many travelers, leading to crowded trains. To help manage the rush, Indian Railways is introducing this special service.
Timetable
The Vande Bharat Express will leave New Delhi at 8:30 AM and arrive in Patna at 8:00 PM, taking less than 12 hours to cover 972 kilometers. On its way back, the train departs from Patna at 7:00 PM and will reach New Delhi the next morning at 7:30 AM.
Route Details
This express train will stop at key stations, such as Ara, Buxar, DDU, Prayagraj, and Kanpur. It operates at a maximum speed of 160 km/h, ensuring a swift journey.
Future Plans for Indian Railways
In a recent budget announcement, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared exciting news. The government plans to introduce 200 new Vande Bharat trains over the next 2-3 years. This includes 100 Amrit Bharat trains and other services to enhance rail travel across the country.
The budget allocation of ₹2,52,000 crore for the financial year 2025-26 will support this expansion, aiming for safer and more comfortable travel options for everyone.
With these improvements, Indian Railways hopes to provide better services for low and middle-class travelers, making rail journeys more convenient and accessible.
