In exciting news for travelers, Indian Railways is gearing up to launch new Sleeper Vande Bharat trains connecting Delhi, Patna, Ahmedabad, and Bhopal. These trains aim to provide a quicker and more comfortable way to travel long distances, especially before the festive season.
The Delhi–Patna route is already confirmed. The proposed schedule will see trains leaving Patna at 8 PM and arriving in Delhi around 7:30 AM. This cuts travel time to about 11.5 hours, compared to the current 12 to 17 hours.
What makes these Sleeper Vande Bharat trains special is their speed. They’ll reach a maximum of 180 km/h, making overnight journeys smoother and faster. Unlike daytime chair car versions, these sleeper trains are designed for trips longer than 1,000 kilometers.
According to railway sources, these services should be officially announced by the end of September, with operations starting soon after. The move responds to high demand on routes like Delhi–Ahmedabad, making travel more convenient for everyone.
With the festive season approaching, this addition could significantly ease the travel burden for many families looking to reunite during Diwali.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development in Indian Railways.
