New leaks about Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 suggest changes to how players access content.
The excitement around Black Ops 7 is growing, thanks to rumors of its campaign and beloved characters returning. If the leaks are spot on, this installment might take bold steps in gameplay and player access.
It looks like the game will set itself in 2035, continuing the story from Black Ops 2. Players can expect familiar faces like Alex Mason and Frank Woods, plus the thrill of 4-player co-op and an open-world area called “Avalon.”
Additionally, multiplayer could be getting a major upgrade, featuring expansive 32v32 matches and the comeback of the much-loved Pick 10 system. The Zombies mode is also rumored to get a boost with the original team and some exciting remakes.
A recent update from a reliable leaker, TheGhostOfHope, hints at a significant change in how the Battle Pass will function. This could reshape how players experience Limited-Time Modes (LTMs) and exclusive rewards.
Instead of making LTMs available for free, Black Ops 7 may require players to own the Battle Pass to access these modes. These LTMs might be designed with unique gameplay features that promise more value than before. Some premium skins, crossover characters, and top-tier loot could also be exclusive to Battle Pass owners.
This move would shift away from the current model, where special rewards are available in seasonal updates like Reloaded. If implemented, players might need to reconsider how they engage with the game, especially if they usually skip the Battle Pass.
While nothing is officially confirmed yet, it’s essential to take these leaks lightly until we hear from Activision or Treyarch. However, if true, this could fundamentally change how seasonal content and rewards are delivered in Call of Duty, especially for those who prefer not to spend on the Battle Pass.
Should LTMs be locked behind a paywall? How would this influence your gameplay? Share your thoughts!
