The Rams have given Matthew Stafford’s agents the green light to discuss a trade with other teams. It didn’t take long for Tom Brady, a minority owner of the Raiders, to reach out.
Brady has reportedly been in touch with Stafford’s camp about the chance of him joining the Raiders this season. However, for this to happen, the Raiders and Rams need to agree on what the trade would entail. Stafford also needs to be on board, and he’s likely looking for a contract that pays more than his current $27 million for this season.
The Rams have publicly stated that they want to keep Stafford. Still, there’s hesitation about committing to a big contract for a 37-year-old quarterback. They seem open to trading him if they receive an appealing offer. While it’s uncertain if Stafford will be traded, teams interested in him can make their offers, and Brady is stepping in to help the Raiders fill their quarterback gap.
