Experience a Night of Musical Magic: Dallas Symphony’s Christopher Adkins Set to Dazzle at Howard Payne University!

Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas, is set to host a special guest recital featuring Christopher Adkins, the principal cellist of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Mark your calendars for November 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Grace Chapel—it’s free for everyone!

Adkins has a rich background in music, having studied at the University of North Texas and Yale University. He has played with major orchestras such as the New Haven Symphony and the Denver Symphony. After moving back to Dallas in 1987, he took on the principal chair once held by his mentor, Lev Aronson. Adkins is also a faculty member at Southern Methodist University and actively performs around the region. Notably, he received a Grammy nomination with the contemporary music group Voices of Change for their album “Voces Americanas.”
