This concert marks a comeback for live music at Providence Park, which had been quiet for many years. Last summer, big names like Post Malone and Jelly Roll performed, drawing enthusiastic crowds.
Speaking of crowds, many concertgoers from last year’s events shared their experiences. Some mentioned long delays at the entry gates, which frustrated fans. Hans Isaacson from Spokane described the situation as chaotic, highlighting security issues. He arrived just 15 minutes before the gates opened and found a massive line. With only two metal detectors in operation, he felt the entry process was poorly managed.
It’s worth noting that last year’s concerts involved collaboration among Portland Police, Transit Police, and other city agencies to ensure safety and smooth operations. Learn from past events, and it seems improvements are a must.
As concerts continue to grow in popularity, reports show that live events have rebounded significantly since the pandemic. In 2022 alone, concert attendance increased by over 40% compared to previous years, according to a recent survey by Pollstar. With a growing demand for live music, venues must adapt to keep audiences happy.
So, get ready, Nashville fans! Chris Stapleton’s return is just around the corner, bringing the joy of live music back to Portland.
