The train has successfully completed all trials and tests and is set to launch in January. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it.

This initiative is a big step for Indian Railways and its passengers. Vaishnaw mentioned that 2026 will bring even more passenger-friendly reforms. The new sleeper train will serve several districts in Assam and West Bengal, boasting 16 coaches with a total capacity of around 823 passengers.
