Hollywood Beach is always buzzing with excitement, especially on weekends. This year, the Savor SoFlo and Wine Festival is back for its sixth edition, promising a delightful culinary experience right on the sand.
Spanning over 30,000 square feet, this festival showcases local chefs and restaurants. Notably, Margaritaville will be part of the culinary showdown. Executive chef Kedon Carter confidently stated, “We’re winning. We’re Margaritaville. We’re always winning.”
Attendees can look forward to a variety of wines, craft beers, and premium spirits—perfect complements to the delicious food offerings. According to Margaritaville’s Marketing Director, Cara Mia Gatti, the festival’s tropical vibes align seamlessly with the cuisine served by local eateries.
An important aspect of Savor SoFlo is its community outreach. Proceeds support organizations like Glam-A-Thon and Gilda’s Club South Florida. These groups provide vital mental health and wellness resources for breast cancer patients.
Tammy Gail, the event’s President, emphasizes that the festival is about more than just food. “Our goal has been to show how to appreciate food as an art form,” she said. This shift in perspective invites attendees to see food in a new light.
The festival runs Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets can be purchased on-site or in advance.
In a recent survey conducted by the National Restaurant Association, 76% of respondents indicated that they find local food festivals essential to experiencing regional culture. This trend reflects a growing appreciation for local cuisine and community engagement.
