Experience Family Fun and Farm Adventures at the Trinity Fall Festival on October 11!

Trinity Rescue and Equine Sanctuary invites everyone to its 2nd Annual Trinity Fall Festival! This free, family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, October 11, from 1 to 6 p.m. at 521 N. Avery Road, Rome.

Get ready for a fun-filled day! There will be pony rides, a petting zoo, hayrides, and lots of games and inflatables for kids. Local food vendors will be serving up BBQ, pizza, hot dogs, and tasty treats.

A special costume contest kicks off at 2 p.m., with prizes for kids and adults. Music will be provided by DJ Cowboy Chris and friends, creating a lively atmosphere.

One highlight of the festival is Storytime with Xena. Author Marcia Johnson will read from her book, Little Xena’s Amazing Day with Grandma Judy, and guests will meet Xena, the mini horse that inspired the story. Visitors can also explore a local vendor market, snap selfies at the pony kissing booth, and interact with the sanctuary’s rescue horses and donkeys.

Founded as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Trinity Rescue focuses on providing safe homes for horses in need. They also offer equine-assisted learning programs that foster leadership and emotional growth within the community.

“Trinity’s Fall Festival is all about celebrating compassion and community,” organizers say. It’s a perfect chance to enjoy a day on the farm, create memories, and support a great cause.

Fun Facts:

  • Equine therapy has been shown to improve mental health. A 2015 study found that participants reported reduced anxiety and improved social skills after working with horses.
