Samsung has exciting news! Their Neo QLED and Lifestyle TVs just received the EyeCare Circadian certification from VDE, a respected certification body in Germany. This award shows Samsung’s commitment to creating technology that supports our natural body rhythms, helping us feel good while watching TV.
According to Taeyong Son, Sony’s Executive Vice President, this certification is a testament to their focus on improving user experience. Samsung aims to provide products that not only deliver stunning visuals but also prioritize eye comfort and reduce strain. They’re committed to innovating and adapting their technology to meet our changing needs, ensuring that we enjoy our entertainment comfortably.
The certification applies to key models in the Neo QLED and Lifestyle categories, including The Frame and The Serif. VDE evaluates six important criteria to determine if a product meets their standards: Eye Safety, Gentle Viewing Experience, Flicker Level, Uniformity, Color Fidelity, and Circadian Stimulus. These criteria all contribute to a better viewing experience that respects our natural rhythms.
A standout feature that helped Samsung earn this recognition is EyeComfort Mode. This smart mode adjusts the brightness and color of the screen based on the time of day and the surrounding light. By mimicking the natural light outside, it helps reduce eye strain during the day and creates a soothing atmosphere for evening viewing, which aligns with our body clocks.
This certification adds to a list of accolades for Samsung TVs. Their Neo QLED series has also earned VDE’s Circadian Rhythm Display certification. Meanwhile, Samsung’s Lifestyle TVs have been verified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for their glare-free technology that helps minimize visual strain. Plus, the brand is recognized for its impressive color accuracy, being Pantone Validated.
