IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed on to bring Kimpton Al Rowda Doha, a new luxury hotel, to Qatar’s capital. This 283-key hotel is set to open in mid-2026, showcasing Kimpton’s unique style of lively design and exceptional service.
Kimpton has been a leader in boutique hotels for over 40 years. Their concept revolves around creating spaces that feel personal and welcoming. Located in the bustling downtown area, Kimpton Al Rowda Doha will allow guests easy access to major business districts, cultural sites, and popular attractions—perfect for both work and leisure.
The hotel will boast beautifully designed rooms, suites, and apartments. It plans to become a culinary hotspot with five dining options, including a rooftop bar that offers stunning views of the city. Known for being pet-friendly, Kimpton Al Rowda Doha aims to cater to travelers and locals alike, creating a vibrant social scene.
Haitham Mattar, Managing Director of IHG for India, the Middle East, and Africa, highlighted that bringing Kimpton to Doha marks a significant step for IHG in the region. He noted how Doha combines tradition with modern ambition, making it an ideal spot for Kimpton’s approach to hospitality.
Sheikh Khalid Bin Jassim Al Thani emphasized the significance of this partnership, aligning it with Doha’s ambitions as a luxury travel destination.
