The new Vande Bharat Express is set to make waves in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Connecting Asarwa in Ahmedabad to Udaipur City, this train will officially launch on February 16, with regular services starting just two days later, on February 18. It’s the sixth Vande Bharat train in Gujarat, aimed at improving regional connectivity, boosting tourism, and spurring economic growth.
Indian Railways is consistently enhancing travel experiences. With the introduction of this train, they showcase their commitment to better transport facilities. The Vande Bharat Express is designed with modern comforts: reclining seats, sliding doors, mobile charging points, bio-toilets, and advanced safety features like CCTV.
Traveling by this train will be quick, safe, and enjoyable. For the inaugural service on February 16, the train number 09663 will depart from Udaipur City at 12:25 PM, reaching Asarwa at 5:15 PM, making stops at Jawar, Dungarpur, and Himmatnagar along the way.
Regular services start on February 18 with train number 26964. It will leave Asarwa at 5:45 PM daily, except on Tuesdays, and arrive in Udaipur City at 10 PM. The reverse journey will see train number 26963 depart Udaipur City at 6:10 AM, arriving in Asarwa by 10:25 AM.
The train will have eight coaches, including both AC chair car and executive chair car options. Tickets for the train will be available starting February 15 at all PRS counters and online via the IRCTC website.
The introduction of the Vande Bharat Express isn’t just a convenience; it reflects a larger trend in the Indian Railway system toward modernization. Recent studies indicate that improved rail services can lead to a 20-30% increase in passenger numbers, which may significantly impact the local economy positively.
Overall, the launch of the Vande Bharat Express could redefine travel in this region, making it easier for people to explore new places while enjoying a comfortable ride.
