Delhi-Patna Gets a New Vande Bharat Express!
Exciting news for train travelers! Indian Railways is launching a new Vande Bharat Express that will connect New Delhi with Patna. This train will be the longest-running Vande Bharat service in India, covering about 1,000 km in under 12 hours. It’s being made at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai and will be handled by the East Central Railway.
This new service is a special treat for passengers traveling during Holi, a busy time for train bookings. Officials have confirmed that the train will be introduced as a Holi Special, helping to meet the surge in travel demand during the festival.
Key Stops Along the Route
The New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Express will stop at five major stations:
- Kanpur Central
- Prayagraj Junction
- Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction
- Buxar
- Ara Junction
This limited-stop service is designed to cut down travel time significantly compared to other trains on the same route.
Proposed Travel Schedule
The planned schedule for the train is as follows:
- From New Delhi: Departing at 08:25 hrs, it will arrive at Patna Junction by 20:00 hrs.
- From Patna: Departing the next day at 19:00 hrs, it will reach New Delhi by 07:30 hrs.
Note that this schedule is tentative and will be officially confirmed by the Railway Board soon.
