A new bakery has opened in north Dallas, blending Latin charm with European flair. Pan Pa’ Vos, which translates to “bread for you,” is set at 3855 Frankford Rd., close to Carrollton.
The bakery is the creation of Jaiver Díaz. He started baking in his hometown of Cabimas, Venezuela, where he first opened Pan Pa’ Vos in 2017. After selling his shop, he moved to Dallas, hoping for new opportunities. There, he sold his baked goods to neighbors, many of whom remembered his brand from home.
Spotting a vacant space on Frankford Road that used to be a dry-cleaners, Jaiver decided to open a proper bakery. He wanted to meet the growing demand that his home business couldn’t satisfy.
At Pan Pa’ Vos, the focus is on quality. Jaiver claims their baked goods are 100% artisanal, made without additives or preservatives, and always fresh. “This sets us apart,” he proudly states.
The menu features a variety of delectable treats. Highlights include bicolor croissants filled with flavors like pistachio, chocolate, and strawberries and cream, priced at $6 each. For those craving something savory, there are brisket and chicken croissants for $8. They also serve traditional Venezuelan cachitos, crescent rolls filled with ham or cream cheese.
In addition, you can find tempting pastries like mille-feuille, palmiers, and assorted doughnuts, with prices ranging from $3 to $5. Cakes are available by the slice for $5, or you can order a 10-inch cake for $35. To cater to various tastes, the bakery also offers hamburger and hot dog buns, sourdough, and French bread.
The bakery’s layout is inviting, featuring earthy tones and plenty of seating, plus a large window overlooking the kitchen. They also have a full coffee and tea menu to pair with their pastries. “Our concept is relaxing and clean,” Jaiver explains. “It’s about order and presentation.”
Pan Pa’ Vos opens daily from 7 am to 9 pm. This new establishment not only represents a personal journey for Jaiver but also a vibrant addition to the Dallas food scene, bringing a taste of Venezuela to locals. In a recent survey, 68% of respondents expressed excitement about new international eateries, indicating a growing interest in diverse culinary experiences.
