The India Art Fair (IAF) is back and promises an exciting experience from February 6 to 9, 2025, at the NSIC Exhibition Grounds in New Delhi. This event brings together galleries, artists, designers, and creative minds for three action-packed days, all aimed at boosting arts education and supporting local talent.
Now in its 16th year, the fair will not only showcase contemporary South Asian art but also highlight innovative design through a special section. Eleven studios will feature a range of works, from collectible design to furniture, bespoke jewelry, and textiles. One of the standout showcases is Shifting Horizons, curated by Alaiia Gujral, spotlighting limited-edition pieces by new Indian designers.
Among these featured studios are Nolwa Studio, Vikram Goyal, Gunjan Gupta, Studio Nyn, and many others. Each brings a unique flavor to the fair, showing how traditional techniques can weave into modern design.
Nolwa Studio, based in Hyderabad, is launching its first Bidri collection. This collection includes stunning mirrors and lamps that explore a 600-year-old metal inlay craft through modern design. Vikram Goyal will present limited-edition furniture inspired by Indian metalwork, prominently featuring his intricate mural, Garden of Life, which beautifully blends themes of nature and mythology.
Gunjan Gupta will showcase her new collection, Craft-itecture, which involves handcrafted pieces created with India’s master artisans. This collection reimagines historic Indian icons for contemporary living, showcasing the artistry that lies in functionality.
Studio Nyn, founded by designer Nynika Jhaveri in Mumbai, is known for its minimalistic art furniture. At the fair, they will present a collaborative collection that merges the artistic visions of the involved designers.
Studio Raw Material, a newcomer to the fair, will introduce their Khokhar series, crafted from discarded stone slabs, reflecting the rugged beauty of their surrounding environment in Makrana, Rajasthan. Meanwhile, Studio Renn will unveil sculptural jewelry pieces that embody their commitment to creative craftsmanship.
Returning to the fair this year are architects Sandeep and Tania Khosla, who will showcase pieces that meld art with functionality, reflecting cultural heritage through design.

Brian DeMuro and Puru Das will present a collection of furniture combining Indian craftsmanship with modern design principles.

Jaipur Rugs will feature handmade rugs that highlight their commitment to traditional artistry.
A special mention goes to Shifting Horizons, which features 17 exhibitors exploring India’s artisanal heritage through a modern lens. This showcase promises a rich tapestry of tactile and visually engaging installations, allowing visitors to experience and connect with India’s design narrative.
