Experience the Groove: University Jazz Band Featuring Drummer Marion Felder Live!

The University of Scranton Jazz Band will have a special concert on Saturday, October 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Houlihan-McLean Center. Admission is free, and seating is first-come, first-served.

This concert features guest drummer Marion Felder, known for his diverse skills and impressive background. He comes from Detroit and has played with big names like Michael Bublé, Wynton Marsalis, and Paul Simon. Felder studied at The Juilliard School, where he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees on a full scholarship.

The University of Scranton Jazz Band is made up of 25 student musicians from various majors. They perform five or more times each year, often inviting renowned guest artists. It’s a great opportunity for students to showcase their talent and passion for music, even though there’s no music major at the university. Anyone enrolled at the university can join the bands, choirs, and other ensembles without an audition.
