A breathtaking visual and musical experience that brings the Mahabharata to life

Bengaluru (Karnataka), February 21: Prabhat Arts International is set to dazzle audiences with its new drama, ‘18 Days – Dusk of an Era,’ at Ravindra Kalakshetra in Bengaluru on February 22-23. This unique performance combines classical dance with storytelling, showcasing the epic Kurukshetra war and highlighting themes of righteousness and injustice.

Created by Bharat Prabhath and Sharat Prabhath, this 90-minute spectacle raises the bar for Indian theater. By blending contemporary dance traditions with stunning visuals, ’18 Days’ stands out as a significant cultural event, similar to the grandest international musicals. Bharat and Sharat also star in the show, providing a personal touch to the narrative.

‘18 Days’ features an exciting mix of ancient Indian mythology and modern stage technology, including aerial acts, levitating performances, and captivating AV effects. It integrates Sanskrit verses from the Mahabharata with dialogues in English and Kannada, making it accessible and engaging for local audiences. This bilingual approach keeps the essence of the story while broadening its reach.

Bharat R Prabhath, the show’s creative head, expressed his passion, saying, “This production goes beyond mere entertainment. It is a celebration of India’s cultural heritage. Through ’18 Days,’ we aim to revive traditional art forms while connecting with today’s audience.” He hopes to enchant children, inspire youth, and engage art lovers of all ages.

‘18 Days – Dusk of an Era’ has garnered acclaim from cultural icons and film stars alike. Last year, Aamir Khan attended a Prabhat production and commended the innovative efforts of Bharat and Sharat. Union Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar described it as a “compelling retelling of the Mahabharata,” and other prominent figures, including filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri and legendary danseuse Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, praised its immersive storytelling and spectacular visuals. Their endorsements highlight the duo’s commitment to merging artistic innovation with India’s rich performing arts heritage.
