FINCASTLE, Va. – A new show is coming to Attic Productions, and it’s all about the kids! The cast, made up of young performers aged six to 17, is set to bring the beloved tale “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” to life.
This classic story is part of The Chronicles of Narnia series, loved by many for its magical adventures. Assistant director Preston Pauley shares his excitement, saying, “We have a deep passion for this story.”
Actress Abby Bjorklund, who is 17, recalls her childhood memories of listening to this story during road trips. “Seeing these stories come to life on stage is amazing,” she adds.
Abby plays the role of Jadis, the White Witch. She explains, “Narnia was once beautiful, ruled by a good king and queen. But Jadis took over, turning it into a land of eternal winter. It’s a fun and complex character to portray, as I have to show many emotions quickly.”
This production showcases not only young talent on stage but also behind the scenes. Preston is directing for the first time and finds it a rewarding experience. He expresses gratitude for being part of this production and looks forward to sharing it with the audience.
Mark your calendars! “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” will be performed at Attic Productions in Fincastle from February 7 to 9 and again from February 14 to 16.
