On this day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the national flag at the iconic Red Fort and address the nation. The Indian Air Force is coordinating the ceremonies, which will include a ceremonial Guard of Honour, a 21-gun salute, and a special flypast.
When PM Modi arrives, he will be welcomed by key defense officials and escorted to the saluting base for the general salute. The Guard of Honour will include 96 personnel from various military branches, showcasing coordination and respect for the armed forces.
After inspecting the Guard, the Prime Minister will make his way to the ramparts. He will hoist the tricolor flag, accompanied by a synchronized 21-gun salute using indigenous artillery. This moment will be marked by the Air Force band playing the national anthem, adding to the patriotic atmosphere.
In a unique twist this year, a nationwide series of band performances will celebrate the victory of Operation Sindoor, engaging citizens and fostering patriotic feelings across the country. Bands from various forces, including the Army and Navy, will perform at over 140 prominent locations.
Around 5,000 special guests, representing a range of backgrounds, are invited to witness the celebrations at the Red Fort. This includes more than 1,500 individuals in traditional attire from various states, enriching the national pride on this historic day.
