Experience the Thrills: FIS Freeride World Tour 2025 Begins at the Baqueira Beret Pro Presented by Movistar

The FIS Freeride World Tour 2025 starts in stunning Baqueira Beret, nestled in the Pyrenees of Spain. After a break following two thrilling events in 2022 and 2023, the tour is back in Val d’Aran, a dream spot for freeriders known for its amazing terrain and vibrant culture.

This year, the organizers have adjusted the competition timeline based on the weather forecast. Both Thursday, the 16th, and Friday, the 17th, are now potential competition days. The final decision will be made 48 hours before the event kicks off.

Baqueira Beret is famous for its unbeatable off-piste options and dependable snow. This event promises spectacular runs from top freeriders, all fueled by enthusiastic fans who fully embrace the season’s spirit.

The snow conditions have been great. Baqueira Beret’s season started strong, with two big snowfalls in early December. Although warmer weather affected the fresh snow briefly, it ultimately helped build a sturdy base for the season.

On January 11, the area received 10 cm of new snow, with strong winds redistributing it and creating some varied conditions. The FWT guides and officials are closely watching the snow conditions to ensure the best possible experience for everyone involved.

No new snowfall is expected soon because of a high-pressure system, but the solid snow base promises an exciting competition ahead.

Adding to the local flavor, two talented Spanish riders will compete: Abel Moga and Núria Castán Baron. Moga, who received a wildcard, is returning to his home slopes. Known for his bold style, he previously made waves with a second-place finish in 2022. Fans are eagerly anticipating his performance at this year’s tour opener.
