In our world today, we face many challenges. It’s crucial that we come together to create a better future. That’s why the initiative “Wandern für den Frieden” or “Walk for Peace” is organizing a special event on April 21, 2025. The theme is a sea of lights for tolerance, environmental protection, and world peace.

Join Us for a Better Tomorrow

People from all walks of life are invited to participate. The message is clear: we must advocate for more tolerance and stronger environmental policies. The event aims to inspire Austrian leaders to do more in promoting peace and addressing environmental issues.

No registration is needed to join. Everyone can take part with flags and posters promoting peace, tolerance, and environmental care. However, it’s important to keep the focus on unity; national or political symbols won’t be allowed. We want to stand together as one community.

A Sea of Lights

A unique feature of this event is the sea of lights. Attendees are encouraged to bring their mobile phones or any light source to shine together as a symbol of hope. If you can’t make it to the event, consider placing a candle in your window or outside your door. The organizers also encourage everyone to light a candle every first Saturday of the month. This will serve as a reminder for our leaders to prioritize peace and environmental protection.

This event emphasizes compassion for all beings—humans, animals, and the planet. It’s a reminder of how vulnerable we all are; anyone can find themselves in a conflict or environmental crisis. By participating, we’re strengthening our empathy and sense of responsibility toward each other.
