WHATCOM COUNTY, WA – Bellingham is buzzing with excitement this week. There are events galore, from mountain biking to car shows and a vibrant PRIDE celebration. Choosing what to do might just be the hardest part!

The Northwest Tune-Up takes place from July 11-13 on Bellingham’s stunning waterfront. This three-day event is packed with live music, exhilarating mountain bike races, and delicious local food and drinks. Bellingham is famous for its mountain biking, and you’ll see why! The races on Galbraith Mountain attract riders from all over, with pump track demonstrations and family-friendly activities adding to the fun.

This year, the music lineup is impressive. Friday night welcomes Harbour, hip hop legends The Pharcyde, The Steeldrivers, Chet Faker (DJ set), and Sound Tribe Sector 9. Saturday brings performances from 4411, Manatee Commune, Brother Ali, The 502s, and indie favorites, Silversun Pickups. Tickets range in price and are available at nwtuneup.com. This weekend also marks Bellingham’s PRIDE festival, celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community. It starts Friday with a Pride Books and Beer event from 4-7 p.m. at Ponderosa Beer and Books. Saturday features a Pride Family Picnic at Boundary Bay Brewery from noon to 4 p.m., followed by an all-ages Pride Dance. If cars are your thing, don’t miss the Firecracker Car Show on Saturday at Pioneer Park in Ferndale, hosted by the Whatcom County Cruising Association. On Sunday, the Clean Cut Futures Motor Show takes place at Bellis Fair Mall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event will showcase a range of vehicles, from classic American muscle cars to Harleys.
