Explore the Wonders of Science: Meet a World-Renowned Canadian Explorer at the Vernon Science Centre!

Adam Shoalts, often called “Canada’s Indiana Jones,” will be at the Okanagan Science Centre on May 22. Known for his adventurous spirit, he has earned praise from notable organizations like Canadian Geographic. This event is not just a talk; it’s a glimpse into the life of an explorer.

Shoalts has written five bestselling books and has a career that’s rich with experiences. He has mapped out rivers, led expeditions for well-respected organizations, and even tracked endangered species. Recently, he completed a remarkable solo journey of nearly 4,000 kilometers across Canada’s Arctic, where solitude can last for months.

In 2022, he canoed and hiked from southern Canada all the way to the Arctic, showcasing his dedication to exploration. As an advocate for outdoor education, Shoalts emphasizes the importance of connecting with nature.
