JAKARTA, Indonesia – On January 17, 2025, Cambridge International Education announced the results for over 111,000 students worldwide who took the November 2024 Cambridge IGCSE and O Level exams. This year’s results marked the largest ever for the November series.

Moreover, the Cambridge International AS & A Level results were shared on January 9, 2025, with more than 92,000 students participating. Entries for these level exams grew by 7% compared to November 2023.

In Indonesia, the number of candidates for the Cambridge qualifications surged by 26%, leading to an overall increase of 22% in entries for Cambridge International AS & A Level, IGCSE, and O Level programs. This growth reflects parents’ rising interest in international education that meets local needs.

The popularity of the November exam series remains strong, especially among schools in the Southern Hemisphere. This year, there were 475,075 exam entries from 4,061 schools across 137 countries. Mathematics continues to be the most sought-after subject, with a notable 19% increase in Cambridge International AS & A Level entries from the previous year.

Students are also gravitating toward subjects that boost their employability. For instance:

  • Computer Science entries at Cambridge IGCSE rose by 20%.
  • Accounting saw a 13% increase.
  • Business Studies entries climbed by 10%.
  • Global Perspectives at Cambridge IGCSE, which helps prepare students for the world stage, went up by 18%.

Rod Smith, Group Managing Director for International Education at Cambridge, expressed his excitement about the results. He emphasized Cambridge’s mission to provide a global education and congratulated all students who achieved their qualifications.

Cambridge International has a long history, spanning over 160 years, in providing international examinations. Each year, they educate nearly one million students worldwide.
