Sears went 6 innings with no earned runs, allowing 3 hits while striking out 2 and walking 2. With only 1 whiff and a 20% CSW on 100 pitches, it’s clear he faced a weak lineup, as he didn’t encounter any left-hand batters.
Reese Olson (DET) vs. KCR
Olson pitched 5 scoreless innings, giving up 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. His changeup was particularly effective. The slider still needs some work, but there’s potential. Up against the Padres next, I’m cautious; he may not sustain this success.
Eduardo Rodriguez (ARI) @ MIA
Rodriguez had an intriguing outing, throwing 5.1 innings, giving up 1 run on 10 hits while fanning 9 batters. He had a solid 33% CSW on 93 pitches, but I’m unsure against tougher teams like the Rays.
Cristopher Sánchez (PHI) vs. SFG
Sánchez delivered an outstanding 7-inning performance with 2 earned runs, 4 hits, and a staggering 12 strikeouts. He had an incredible 41% CSW, primarily using his changeup effectively. Keep an eye on him—he could be a game-changer if he continues this form.
Kumar Rocker (TEX) vs. LAA
Rocker went 7 innings, giving up 3 runs, with 8 strikeouts. His slider dominated, even though he faced mostly right-handed batters. There’s promise here, but I’m cautious about his next match against the Athletics.
Tanner Bibee (CLE) @ BAL
Bibee struggled, lasting only 5.2 innings and giving up 6 runs on 5 hits. His cutter hasn’t been as effective, and he needs to step it up against a strong Yankees lineup next.
