In an emotional Instagram post, Parker reflected on her long journey with Carrie Bradshaw, saying, “I think I have loved her most of all.” Davis echoed her sentiment, noting she felt “profoundly sad” about the series’ conclusion.

While the series initially attracted many viewers on HBO Max, it struggled to maintain momentum. Ratings for the premiere of season three dropped by 7% from season two and by an alarming 62% from the first season, according to Samba data. Historically, “Sex and the City” shattered stereotypes about women’s lives in New York City, earning multiple awards, including seven Emmys. However, she did make a cameo in “And Just Like That.”

As the series comes to a close, Parker is set to appear in the upcoming comedy sequel “Hocus Pocus 3.” Meanwhile, King will be returning to HBO for a third season of “The Comeback,” featuring Lisa Kudrow.
